You can expect to have the same enjoyment as the original, with some benefits. Sadly the battle ai is unimproved, which was the weakest part of the 2004 release. They added medieval2 merchants, overhauled every piece of art in the game, improved campaign ai, and increased modding potential. The amazing thing about the remaster is that it allows you to toggle back to the original settings if you wish. I will say that if you are expecting a remake, you will be disappointed.
